Props to Thunderbird.
I used Outlook for years and I HATE IT. Aside from being a surrogate
mother to virii, it's very slow when you have LOTS (thousands) of
messages in various folders.
I migrated to Thunderbird, and it's AWESOME.
I had been a Eudora zealot prior to Outlook, but I it's been too buggy
for my liking since version 5. I've tried version 6 as well, and
didn't like it.
For folks that want to extend Thunderbird, to include some of the
functionality found in Outlook (for me, calendaring/events), there are
plenty of extensions available.
