ok, well, I have been running a 90-day trial version. With that, both
Query analyzer and Enterprise manager are options under SQL Server and
offer a lot of wizards as alternatives to transact-SQL and
command-line stuff.

Can't tell you much about online resources except that books online
has consistently told me way more than I as a relative beginner really
wanted to know. I am using the Microsoft book which though relatively
pricey does come with a lab manual, which I find useful...
