Personally, I don't know anyone who smokes marijuana, or who talks to me about it if they do :) I'd say half the people who might come to my house do smoke, but don't at my house. I really don't know about alcohol use since I don't drink. Most of my friends do, socially at least, I suspect, but I don't find out about it because I see them in non-alcoholic settings.
In the past now... depending on the particular period, those numbers could be a lot different. For instance, there was a period of my life when my entire social life took place in bars. It got old.
