Just about. I was stuck at a Lady Elk's Christmas party last night, so I missed Billy Volek throw me into my fantasy football playoffs with 4 touchdowns and 436 yards. I hope he repeats this feat next week. He can have all of the losing efforts like that he can have. :)
Here is the address I use for my star map: http://tinyurl.com/5fh6j This one is the KC stars facing east. Sure did, froze my ass off...I would pick the coldest night of the year so far. The window I had was from 7-8pm last night (kickoff at 8 central for my Chiefs). After working to find two objects I thought might be Saturn, one was Vega (I think), no clue what the other one was, we determined that Saturn was still too low in the horizon by 8 pm for good viewing. Our maps had Saturn low in the north-east horizon at 8pm, due north of Orion's belt.....that about right? > Did you get out last night? > > Russel Madere > Webmaster > 504.832.9835 > SunShine Pages by EATEL > www.sunshinepages.com > > -----Original Message----- > From: Russel Madere > Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 10:49 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: Any amateur astronomers on the list? > > In that case, use the same instructions, but add a half an hour to the > times. > > If you can find the constellation Gemini, Saturn will be just south of > the constellation. > > Russel Madere > Webmaster > 504.832.9835 > SunShine Pages by EATEL > www.sunshinepages.com > > > -----Original Message----- > From: G [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 10:42 AM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: Any amateur astronomers on the list? > > I'm in Kansas City, which i believe is a few ticks north of St. Louie. > > > >> St. Louis latitude or so? >> >> It depends because of the horizon. >> >> Russel Madere >> Webmaster >> 504.832.9835 >> SunShine Pages by EATEL >> www.sunshinepages.com >> >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: G [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >> Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 10:34 AM >> To: CF-Community >> Subject: Re: Any amateur astronomers on the list? >> >> Midwest USA. >> >> >>> Where from? >>> >>> Russel Madere >>> Webmaster >>> 504.832.9835 >>> SunShine Pages by EATEL >>> www.sunshinepages.com >>> >>> >>> -----Original Message----- >>> From: G [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >>> Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 10:04 AM >>> To: CF-Community >>> Subject: Any amateur astronomers on the list? >>> >>> My gf bought me a telescope last month, and i've yet to use it.
