That could easily be  a coincidence; there's a lot of ocean and a lot of shore.

I would add that if Mr. Peterson was indeed attempting to cover up a
murder why would he place himself at that location?  He could've
easily said he was never there, or said he was somewhere else.   If I
recall, there were no witnesses.

I find it very odd that a guy who did such an efficient job of killing
Laci and "scrubbing" the murder site, such that there was not a shed
of evidence, would then voluntarily place himself near the location
where he dumped the body.

That motive has already been ruled out due to his behavior with Ms.
Fry.  She was simply a "score" a few days before Laci's disappearance.
 Remember that all of the tapes were after Laci went missing.  That's
hardly a motive for murder.  Maybe divorce ... but if he was getting
away with it, it wouldn't even justify that.  Especially if he's a
sociopath as some have suggested.
