Hatton May I suggest with great respect that even if all of this is true -- and I know at least some of it is -- it does not reduce the validity of the Bush comparison. Hitler would be Hitler even if he were up against Genghis Khan, right? Intelligent finger pointing is still fingerpointing.
By the way, as far as I know Saddam hadn't massacred anyone for about ten years. I don't say this to minimize the horror of any massacre, just to say that he didn't seem to be a really imminent threat to the Kurds either. Do we really know who he hated?
