Probably not, but I could see him saying privately, well, he looks enough like one of "us", he must be ok. I would be very surprised if he had anything nice to say about any people of color. He's an old racist, an embarrasment to the Senate, just like this jackass Thomas on the Republican side in the House, who wants to discuss race and gender factors in Social Security benefits equations. But hey, that's democracy.
