I think my cats would climb right in. They both drink their water out of 
a pint glass, which, as you might be able to picture, gets harder to 
drink from the emptier it gets.  I've seen both my cats shoving their 
cute little heads deep into the pint glass trying to get water when it's 
low.  Reminds me very much of bonsai kitty :-)

Don't worry - I always keep the glass filled so they can reach...
