KEY WEST: The Casa Marina Resort is a much nicer place in my opinion ;) Check it out whilst you are there. It's on the opposite side of the island from the sunset pier ... Just follow Duval Street to the end, hand a left at the Southernmost point and keep walking, hugging the streets that are along the shore. Or ask someone where it is. You don't need to stay there to check out it's outdoor tiki bar and entertainment.
But whilst you are there ... Bars to hit: FAT TUESDAY! Sloppy Joe's Casa Cayo Hueso Hog's Breath Saloon Captain Tony's Saloon, made famous by the Jimmy Buffett song "Last Mango in Paris," Obviously you'll get to Sunsets on Mallory Square :) Since your resort is RIGHT THERE. OMG. I adore Key West. Been there 3 times, can't wait to go back one of these days. 14 hour drive for us ...
