I didn't cheat - I have a good vocabulary though my typing skills suck :P That's a good question though. Bottom line is - does it make sense in the context of the sentence? Can someone "get" what it means without really caring about dragging out a dictionary? If not - then sure, change the word :) Also - the documents you may be reading over may have already been in use for a long time ... They just need a different eyeball because some updates were done. :)
