thing might cache passwords, and cache pages inside password protected
websites in google's servers.

Some people in message forums access their control panel and find
themselves logged in as someone else, for example.

So someone that hacked google, to display another homepage...might
they have had access to this vast data store?

Google argues that in the instructions they tell you how to exclude
websites from the Web Accelerator.
