I agree in spirit - but not so much a "Red Herring" as "too soon to be worth it". We're still in the early adopter phase of all of this - they'll expensive and provide, at best, a moderate mileage bump. I hope this will steadily improve as reclamation technologies grow more advanced and cheaper and people learn how to drive them differently. For right now I'd never consider one tho'. My wife was making noises about trading in our perfectly usable car (a 1999 Malibu v6) for a hybrid. We've got two kids in car seats and only drive a few miles a week with the exception of periodic long trips (about 6 times a year) to visit family. The most efficient hybrids just don't have the room we'd need and the rest just don't have the return on investment. I get my warm and fizzy feelings from riding my bike to work instead of driving. It's cheaper than any hybrid and pedaling is certainly better for my fat ass than self-satisfaction. ;^) Jim Davis ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Purchase Studio MX from House of Fusion, a Macromedia Authorized Affiliate and support the CF community. http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=50 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:157064 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
