Too bad it's not this week! We could meet and have a cocktail! I've been to the Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort before. Great place. Good for a family vacation or just a couple away for some R&R. They have beachside access, a great pool and an even better Tiki Bar (http://www.beachandgolfvacation.com/images/Gallery/HHIBT-tikibar.jpg). Their inside restaurant is also tops. The bar is HUGE with TV's and nice bartenders.
This time I will be the opposite end of the Island at a place called Ocean Breeze. A condo complex with 3 pools and a 10 minute walk to the beach. They take dogs - which is the only reason I'm going to that one. Otherwise I'd be back at HHB&T Pics of both places are here: http://www.beachandgolfvacation.com As for things to do - well there's bikes to rent and TONS of golf. Great beaches to lay on, a couple of museums to tour. Lots of bars & cafes & restaurants. It's no spring break town - caters more towards golfers and a bit of an older mature crowd I like to think. (some golfers aside ;)) I like it because it's classy and laid back. Peaceful and quiet. I like Key West better - but I get to stay at HH for free :) It's also on 5 hours from me.
