I had heard that drawn and quartered meant that each arm and leg was
tied to an individual horse.  Then, the horses were given the order to
run at the same time.

The body would be ripped apart into four parts.  I assume the head would
be attached to one of those parts.

Actually I believe what they're doing is cutting his guts out..
He was drawn and quartered, meaning he was disembowed and then quartered
(cut into 4 pieces) and each piece was placed around the 4 corners of
England.
Either way it was a painful scene..
