Maybe not, but I'd bet he'd run as an independent, I'd also bet that Biden could be convinced to do likewise if he doesn't get the nod from the dems.
I don't think the country is ready yet for a woman as president and defiantly not a black woman. Condi Rice is a smart capable woman, but there are still to many rednecks that can read a ballot.. she'd never win. sas Scott A. One thing the article by Brooks highlights is that Senators have a very bad track record of late when running for President. So who to call on? No one in the House has the standing, IMO, to make a serious run. Republican Governors? Arnold can't run. Jeb Bush could run, but I don't see him winning. He doesn't have W's natural ease around people. Here are a few early contenders: Mitt Romney- Massachusetts George Pataki - New York Rick Perry - Texas Bob Taft - Ohio McCain is a possibility, but for those of you who think he would agree to run on a Democratic ticket, quit dreaming. The long shot is Condi Rice, who has never run for office but has the nerves, the brains and foreign policy experience for a wartime Presidency. If Hillary runs, she might get the nomination, but she doesn't win nationally. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
