I have been downloading some of my gmail to my laptop. Lately I have
been stuck on four messages which refuse to download, while the ten or
so before that download over and over again. Now, I have seen this in
my tech support days and the problem is likely a large or corrupt
attachment on the mail in question, which is possible as I have
emailed myself executable files, visio charts, illustrator documents,
flash clips and who knows what else.

The problem is this.... Opera thinks it is deleting mail but
apparently is not, as the mail I see when I go to "oldest" in my gmail
is definitely in my opera inbox as well. I do eventually get an error
message from Opera about being unable to store a message, but it
identifies it with a hexadeciman number.

Opera tried to retrieve message 195 (UIDL GmailIdff2e39803d8de28) from
the POP3 server, but failed to store it on your machine.

So how to identify the problem email? There is not, as best can see,
a way to identify the emails with attachments. Short of clicking them
each in turn and I have wayyyyyyy too much email for that.

All thoughts and suggestions appreciated.

Dana
