I saw it over the weekend and thought it was pretty good, but that's an outsider's perspective as I've never read the books and only saw one other movie. I did find it a bit snoozy though. For me it was kind of like the incredibles - good stuff, but not near enough to draw me in. One recent movie that did draw me was Good Night, Good Luck.
