It still comes back to why financial success is viewed as being the
only type worth pursuing. It reminds me of the way in which someone
who works hard to get material riches but neglects their spiritual
side is viewed as lazy in the east, but in the west the situation is
reversed.

There are other ways of viewing success, look at Bhutan and their
commitment to 'gross national happiness' for example. Personally I
think that capitalism is headed the same way as communism, the problem
is that an awful lot of people seem to be brainwashed into thinking
that they are the only two systems possible.
