Its an old Manitoba and Saskatchewan argument. At times I think that the only thing that hold the Canadian provinces together is their mutual dislike of each other.
As for siding with one or the other, try fishing in both places then decide. I know a few places off the Churchill River in northern Manitoba where the fishing is phenomenal. And the nearest bit of civilization is a couple of hundred of miles away. These are places that you can only get to by float plane. As for the reservations, casinos etc may work for those reservations in the southern part of the country, but in places like the duck lake reservation you can only fly on a bush plane or wait for the winter roads. They are so isolated that any convention solutions cannot work. As for the alcoholism, drinking and suicide rates, in a nutshell Yes. in fact they may be worse. You just don't have very screwed up kids shooting up schools in response. They usually just kill themselves or get so screwed up on glue sniffing or gasoline sniffing that there's not really much difference. larry On 12/9/05, Bill Wheatley <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > ohh i smell a canadian slap fight ;) > Sorry larry i'd have to side with jillian you understand. > > Why is there such poverty?
