its nothing new with the US. The US government and its agents have
tried to interfere with Canadian elections for years now. Some of the
more egregious incidents include the CIA funding the opposition
parties in an attempt to remove Tommy Douglas and the NDP government
in Saskatchewan in the 1950's through the US Ambassador actively
campaigning for Brian Mulrooney in the 80's. Generally the US tends to
be hypcritical that way.
