My mistake... should have went north on the 101 to the 80.  Going south on
the 101 looked shorter on the map...LOL

The last time I drove from Redwood City to Sacramento.. it took over 4
hours, 1 1/2 hours on the San Mateo Bridge. But of course, that was on a
Friday night and I think I took the 580. :D


I said San Francisco, not Redwood City, San Jose or other Bay Area nightmare
traffic/commute locations.  But the straight shot down I-80 from Sacramento
to San-Francisco across the Bay bridge can be done in two hours or less
outside of "rush" hour times.

Veer from these very specific criteria and all bets are off and for sure
YMMV!
