I glanced at the article, but here's an idea. Nassau County is a suburb of NYC yet it's now self-dependent and with a pop of 1.3 m is bigger than most cities in the US. A lot more of the Latino votes went to Bush than was expected. Also we now know the exit polls were loaded by mostly polling woman and minorities
