I'll back you up in this sense: war is always just organized theft. 
Maybe it's theft of food, but that's theft.

Now, take Iraq.  One might say, "we're liberators!" But really we're
just stealing power from Hussein.  Had the Iraqis asked us to come on
in, then it would be considered a police effort, but they didn't ask
us.

However, the majority still seem to want us there, but I may be wrong
about that.
