It is VERY cool Todd!! It came at the right time for me.. needed to
get something more secure than our NT server as the Internet Gateway,
particularly as it had all our accounts on it. And I had this P166 just
lieing around.

BTW, it also has web based email, handles multiple domains (simply),
also acts as a DNS server to your network so that you can setup all your
machines and internal servers and make them accessible to everything.
We have Linux, Mac and NT machines on our network, and it coexists with
all of them. The e-smith server also runs Netatalk so that the server
just appears in the Mac Chooser as well as in the Windows
neighbourhood. Because of this I've been able to ditch Connectix's
DoubleTalk and Mac Services from the NT machine, and copying files
across any machine is a total breeze.

In another of the ibays, I've also setup phpGroupWare, so that any user
on our internal network can access a web based suite of programs, ie,
email, contacts, calendar, project management etc etc.

I could go on and on... save me the trouble... go try it!!! You won't
want to try anything else!!! Editing text files is almost
non-existent!!

No, I don't work or have anything to do with e-smith.... I'm just a user
who is extremely happy with it!!
