Actually it's a pretty obvious and smooth transition. In fact I don't if Apple really needs to even add "gaming hardware" - they could make a great little game machine just by including the controls (as in Gel's article) and the Flash 7 player. Any processor powerful enough to do modern DRM and video decompression should be able to handle most Flash. Sony's just announced that both the PSP and the PS3 will play Flash games - why not Apple? It's a quick, easy way to get thousands of games - and a huge base of developers - almost instantly.
