Actually, I can't right now, since most of the information I have with
that info is proprietary.

I've been a freelance technologist to a radio station syndicate for
about 7 years. I read dozens of industry reports each week, most of
which are not sharable.

Most of the information comes from proprietary info, expensive (and
rabidly protected) industry reports, and marketing and business plans
for the company.

If you think the RIAA protects its content, wait till you meet Arbitron.

I could probably try to scrape up some research on the topic, mainly
from public sources such as marketing and advertising demo data
provided by existing country station websites.

Country Music is the top format in the country.
Country Radio advertising has the top advertising revenue for any format.

The Radio industry is a license to print money. You would not believe
how incompetant most people in the industry are. That is the main
reason there is so much turnaround at each station (and the reason
that there are so many format changes). The big talkers end up moving
on before they get called to carpet for screwing everything up. Even
with these idiots in place, the industry is pretty healthy. The reason
a lot of stations are being bought up by bigger fish is that there is
economy in cooperation, and that the bigger companies know how to milk
the cow to just short of death.
