Matt Seeing as I live in the south... the last time I checked Virginia was on the loosing side of the Civil War.. I base much of my "misconceptions" on personal experience and observation.
And I will grant you that Northern Virginia is more "yankee" And IMO more civilized then the rest of the state. And while my statement may be generalistic, I asked for proof more because I'm very curious about the demographics and how they've changed...
