Nice! The only thing I would recommend about Hawaii is to rent a house
rather than stay in a resort. It works out well if you have a big family, or
if you have more than one family on the trip. I prefer to stay like that, it
feels much more low-key than a resort. Resorts are cool, but as you point
out, quite spendy.
