He's somewhat right; it ruined his hearing and almost destroyed his
career. Good thing he got help.
Sounds like he's talking about illegal drugs not prescription.
But you're right it does make him kind of a hypocrite.
That was 11 years ago and illegal drugs, his addiction was a year or
two ago with regulated drugs. If he says that now about prescription
drug users than he's definitely a hypocrite.
