How do you not fight a ground war? We bombed the hell out of Iwo Jima, Saipan, Guam, etc... The Japanese sat in caves and waited for us to land.
Iraq had no chance against us in the air nor did there military have any chance against us on the ground. Four years later we have yet to secure the ground. We are not fighting a military we are fighting civilians. They go in their house and play with their kids while we roam the neighborhood looking for them. Then they come out place a boomb by the side of the road and kill 6 Marines. After video taping the carnage they go back home and play with the kids. When we kick their door in we are the bad guys for killing innocent civilians. Millions of innocent civilians got killed in WWII. It's part of war. However, back then you didn't have Geraldo reporting on every detail of every operation. You didn't have Soldiers setting up blogs detailing how they shot 2 kids in the process of killing 8 terrorists. We cannot win the war in Iraq nor anywhere in the middle east. Because nobody wants to hear about the things that happen in war. Innocent people get killed. Especially when the freedom fighters, terrorists, or whatever you want to call them hide in the general population. We come out looking like we are imperialists killing innocent civilians for oil. If Israel wants to fight let them fight. But the US should stay the hell out of it unless we get involved as a subordinate piece of a UN force. We should not go in as the leaders. Let the UN or someone else take the lead role. This is a no win situation if we are in the lead. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/message.cfm/forumid:5/messageid:211298 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
