Me being a pro wrestling fan aside....

I found him to be very refreshing in the fact that he spoke his mind,
seemed to be very practical and seemed to be a "common man moderate"
he was right down the middle. He understood that the little guyput him in
office and it was the little guy's needs that he would address first.

I think a lot of politicians forget that in the final wash it's Joe
"Middle Class" Lunch Box that puts them in office, and before they worry
about their collective special interest groups
they need to take care of Joe "Middle Class" Lunch Box

I voted for him for Governor and I don't regret it even a little bit.
He didn't move things forward too much and I did disagree big time
with him on light rail (which is a HUGE debacle IMO) but it was
awesome!

He was always slamming people, was very practical and outspoken about
it, and his kid had a big party in the Governor's mansion.

Of course the best line he said was when he was confronted at the
steps of the capitol by hundreds of Welfare moms who were saying that
the government owed them Welfare because they couldn't go to college
and take care of a kid at the same time.

Ventura replied (to ALL the cameras), "Well. Maybe you should've
thought of that before you got pregnant."

You could've heard crickets chirp and the woman turned beet red and
looked totally dumbfounded. After Ventura stared at her for about 20
seconds he thanked the crowd for coming and went into the capital, the
mob defeated.
