I actually have a sneaking sympathy for cops. These crossed the line though. If they were worried that he might be wanted, all they had to do was detain him until it was clear who he was. WIthout tazering him. I've been asked to demonstrate my identity during a traffic stop, for example. It's pretty routine stuff. I do believe the kid was being an asshole, but that is one of the things that I have always liked about America... you can walk around with out people demanding your papers all the time. You have to live someplace where this is not true, perhaps, to appreciate that. But ok, these cops were doing their job and the kid was obstructive. Since when does that justify this level of force though?
