I was making the point that we are *not* relying on eyewitness
testimony. Watch the video.  You can clearly clearly hear him say it.
Before he gets tazered a few more times.

I actually have a sneaking sympathy for cops. These crossed the line
though. If they were worried that he might be wanted, all they had to
do was detain him until it was clear who he was. WIthout tazering him.
I've been asked to demonstrate my identity during a traffic stop, for
example. It's pretty routine stuff.

I do believe the kid was being an asshole, but that is one of the
things that I have always liked about America... you can walk around
with out people demanding your papers all the time. You have to live
someplace where this is not true, perhaps,  to appreciate that.

But ok, these cops were doing their job and the kid was obstructive.
Since when does that justify this level of force though? Next thing
you  know, they'll be tazering the board of regents for not increasing
their pay rate ;P
