We can't. When we tried to do that, the Iraqi government told us to let them
go. And we did.

Unless we decide to overthrow the current government, and the Bush Admin
doesn't have the stones for that, I believe, then it ain't going to work out
for us.

I agree with your approach, but we aren't doing it, and we aren't going to
do it.

Again, the problem in Iraq is not martial, it it is political (our politics,
world politics, regional politics, and local Iraqi politics.).

If it was just a matter of killing the bad guys, we'd have a chance. We'd
still have to decide to do it, but it would be an accomplishable goal, from
what I know.

That is why I initially approved of Murtha's solution. Pull out of the
cities, pull back to defensible positions inside Iraq, and wait for bad-guy
gophers to raise their heads, and WHACK!

We shouldn't be in the position of policing or government-building anymore,
but simply counter-insurgancy and counter-terrorism work, and training.
