It does feel like a tampax commercial. I sort of associate with women in wispy dresses running through flowers. Perhaps this would be lessened if you switched to blue rather than lavender.
My issue is that in IE 6 I get a menu on the right with the text left-justified but *underneath* it, and it feels wrong. There's a big white space int he middle of the page.
