Put him in jail.  It's not a matter of choosing between jail or living
in his homeland.  Our borders are so insecure that he'd just come back
after a nice vacation in Mexico visiting family.

I really don't think you can argue that living in a 10x10 prison cell
is better than living free - even if he were shipped back to Mexico
and was unable to return.

Deport him *AFTER* he serves his prison sentence.
