What she said. If you like wine there's a very reasonable, very accessible (not stuffy, no pretentions) wine bar/shop/restaurant called Bin 36: http://www.bin36.com/index.php My favorite place for hotdogs downtown is: http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/localguide/neighborhoods/goldcoast/27245,0,7674911.venue Which is just off of Michigan Avenue, also called "The Magnificent Mile" and is very fun to walk, shop, and eat. Very recommended to walk and to stay near if you can. The Embassy Suites on Illinois and/or grand is close, fairly reasonable, and a good hotel. It's also right off of the Navy Pier and close to Dick's Last Resort. I used to live in the building and it's a great location. There's also the Billy Goat Tavern of SNL's "cheesebooger, cheesebooger, cheesebooger" fame: http://billygoattavern.com/ For fun, varied, reasonable dining experiences got to any Lettuce-entertain-you restaurant: http://www.leye.com/welcome.html My favorite nice steakhouse is Rosebud just off the MM: http://rosebudrestaurants.com/rest4.php So that's me: shopping and eating. For odd things both U of Chicago and Northwestern have nice downtown campuses ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Macromedia ColdFusion MX7 Upgrade to MX7 & experience time-saving features, more productivity. http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion?sdid=RVJW Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:236718 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5
