oh this is rich. I just found out that one of my mastercards that I had done a balance transfer to at 3.9% was recently bought out by BofA. On an account that had never had a late payment, they saw fit to raise the rate to 29.9% ! When we asked why they did this they replied, "Well, the rates have been going up recently"
