Check out www.moock.org while you are at it - if you want to know how to do
the fancy stuff, this is the site for you. He has an example asteroids
application that you can pick apart, along with dozens of tutorials. 

If you're really serious, look at the Friends of Ed books as well. They have
published about seven books just on Flash recently, and they are all in the
decent - very good range.

Hello Erin,

An absolutely excellent starting point for Flash tutorials on the web is
Flashkit.com. It's got a ton of stuff/resources so it can be a little
overwhelming but the tutorials are good. And from there she can link off to
hundreds of other tutorials.

But best still just to start with the lessons that ship with the Flash IDE.
