Pretty much the same story for me.

I love my gadgets and the thought of having them all in one device is
tempting... but futile. I lusted after the high-end phones but was always
disappointed. So now I have the small Virgin Mobile pay-as-you-go flip
phone. I bought phone outright so I don't have to deal with any contract
crap.

It doesn't play games, doesn't run apps, doesn't take pictures and doesn't
do instant messaging. It DOES make calls, plays the "Fraggle Rock Theme"
when it rings and is quite small. Those are the only features I care about
at this point in life.

(It should probably go without saying, since I got a pay-as-you-go phone,
that I don't actually use the phone that much. I'm sure if I needed it more
I'd been looking for a better bargain... but not more features.)

I still carry my PocketPC (an older model: keeps my PIM info, lets me read
books, listen to music and do crosswords) and (usually) my GameBoy Micro or
PSP (I've been playing the PSP more lately, but the GB Micro is so small
it's nearly unnoticeable). When I need it I also carry a camera.
