Take the baby and raise it as your own, with your own family name, until later claimed by the child's biological parent(s).
This would be about the only time I would ever consider telling a lie to the powers that be, because it would clearly put a human life in unnecessary and unethical danger if I were not to take such an action. One of those cases where, if I'm not mistaken, a rabbi would also seriously consider telling such a lie, and this is what would guide me. Michael D: is this about right, or am I off base here?
