It's a party town. Street acts, etc., which is probably most different from 'burque/nm. Con artists, which you'd expect. Really, not bad people (lots of tourists, of course) and a good vibe. Haven't been since the water, wonder what has changed. (Not much judging by some NPR coverage) You can get in over your head amazingly easy almost anywhere- critical thinking is better than a fish, if that makes any sense. :-) Not weighing in one way or another tho.
