well, it seems that if you upload the files to the web server and link to them 
there, it does the same thing. So it's not a Blackboard specific behavior. So 
for my next duh question... these are avi files. Isn't there such thing as .avi 
video? And how would I convert this to some version that will be accessible to 
the greatest number of people?
