Well, certainly comparing HP to LOTR is going to be a somewhat unfair comparison...but I do agree totally. I enjoyed all the stuff at the end of LOTR, although the progression in the books is much better, I don't think it worked quite as well in the movie. There is so much that happens after the Great War is over, I always loved all the stuff that goes on in the Shire at the end, and reflects much better on real life where everything isn't so easily wrapped up in a neat little package. I think passing HP off as just "kid's books" is a poor excuse for it. There just needs to be a little more in between this big battle and people getting killed and the "happily ever after" stuff. And most of what was in there I found pretty obvious and uninteresting for the most part. What JKR told in interviews about what happens to the characters later in their lives was far more interesting. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Get the answers you are looking for on the ColdFusion Labs Forum direct from active programmers and developers. http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/categories.cfm?forumid-72&catid=648 Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/message.cfm/messageid:240374 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Community/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5
