My opinion is the same as it's always been: the evidence for human impact on
the system is strong. The degree of that impact is debatable.  As we've
always done we will change habitat and we will speed the extinction of
certain niche species.  We may just be doing it on a larger scale.

However any impact we cause however will not has a drastic impact on "The
Earth".  Instead the greatest impact will be on us.  There is no (that I
know off) strong, widespread species more affected by climate change than
humans.  Extreme climate change, for us, may cause mass migration, extreme
poverty and war.  For other species it'll cause - maybe - minor
inconveniences.

So do what you like: it's your own foot your shooting.
