heh. i didn't do flickr because of any of the "social networking" aspects. just needed a place to host photos and it fit the bill:
1) unlimited storage (for a modest fee) 2) ability for family/friends to view photos without signing in (i hate that) 3) ability to order prints and pick up at target (dad doesn't have a computer and lives 3000 miles away, so it's nice to order some prints, and call him and tell him he can go pick 'em up at his local target in an hour) 4) tagging photos 5) ability to print originals (my father in law has a top-notch photo printer and likes to print 'em up himself) only been using it for a few months (ever since Yahoo! photos announced they were shutting down), but so far i'm pretty happy with it. the -only- thing i'd change is letting people sort photos by date taken rather than the only option (which is date uploaded).
