Clearly we are provoking them with this talk of labeling the Revolutionary
Guards as a terrorist organization, but so what? They are, in effect, a
terrorist organization. They are supplying weapons and training for
insurgents in Iraq to carry out terrorist attacks against US troops and
Iraqi civilians. Let's call them what they are.

The point of the label is to put political pressure on the Iranians in the
international community, to make it difficult for others to support them at
the UN. It is a prelude to a push for stronger sanctions, not military
action.

As for what would happen in the event of a war between the U.S. and Iran,
the country worst hit by the war would be Iran itself. Oil & gas account for
three-quarters of their exports. If they can't export oil & gas, they can't
pay for weapons, they can't buy equipment or food- they will go bankrupt. If
that clown journalist is going to look at the worst case scenario, he should
at least be intellectually honest about it.
