Same here. One year during spring break we stayed up for about a week trying to
finish a large scale campaign. Imagine hundreds of painted figurines covering
the floor - did I mention it was a very large scale battle.

One of the more fun dungeons I dm'd was based on the apartment block we lived
in. complete with residents etc. Although I suspect that my fellow
gamers/residents didn't appreciate the depictions of them. Generally I tried to
make my campaigns different. Lots of interaction with NPC's and monsters -
while there was fighting (a lot actually) to get ahead you had to think.

The most fun one I dm'd was at another Gencon while we were waiting for our
next round. I was asked to dm for a bunch of kids who were playing a party made
up of dwarf thieves. Before they even got to the entrance all 6 of them each
passed me a note saying that they were going to do a backstab on one of the
other players. As it worked out they ended up backstabbing each other. They
managed to kill each other before getting to the entrance.

>My buds and i would stay up 3 days at a time playing campaigns we wrote.
>switching from house to house went the rents got fed up with 6-12 kids
>eating there food..
>every few weeks/months we would switch DM's
>
>my style was always unbeatable evil destroys all but one guy, leaving him
>insane and immobile.
>safe to say, i didn't get to run as much as i would like.
