rc-
years ago at the local mall, the "juice" stand cash register had a problem.
the high-school age gal said to her coworker in almost a panicked voice "so
how am I supposed to figure how much change to give them?".

my son who was I think in 5th grade at the time told her off the top of his
head what the amount should be. She looked at him and said "how did you do
that?" He said "I used arithmetic. We learned it in school."

oooooooh.
