I think his speech writers did a good job. It does not make me like the man any more or any less really. I just feel his speech writers spun it pretty well. In my years of attending Southern Baptist services in Texas and California, not once have my pastors interjected their personal political views into their sermons, and they never engaged in any kind of hate mongering the way that "Reverend" Wright did. All they ever did was preach the Word of God, which is what they are supposed to do.
The way I see it, this is the beginning of a long line of his dirty laundry being aired. The man seems like a Boy Scout and to be honest, if a politician does not have some skeletons in the closet then there is something wrong. Everyone has secrets. At least Clinton and McCain have had years of this treatment by the press already, so now it is Obama's turn. Of course this is just my opinion.
