Because kids are thrown straight into college from high school. They never
learned how to become an active citizen in society. I'm not saying 99% of
the kids out there cannot handle this, but it's the .01 % we're dealing with
here. If I had it to do over again, I would have went to snowboard camp at
Mt Hood instead of college... Now look at what Snowboarding is today. Bloody
hell...

Kid gets out of college, ends up working at burger king and wondering what
the heck he/she is going to do to pay that $100,000+ loan off.

Because parents with college degrees end up putting their job first and
family second. They want to pay off their student loans, buy a house, make
an attempt on paper to look like a middle class american, while missing out
on the fact they have spent very little time with their children.
